Groundscapes (7/29/13)

I think most people spend most of their time looking ahead. As a shy kid, I spent a lot of time looking at the ground. Perhaps as a result, I’ve come to appreciate the beauty of different ground surfaces. The first is leftover ash on the ground at Potholes Preserve (near Moses Lake, WA). The 2nd and 3rd are from the gorgeous “gravel” at Damon Point (Ocean Shores, WA).

As always, if you click the picture twice (first once to open it, then again to enlarge it, i.e., not a double-click), you’ll get a version big enough to fill the screen.
